Mitigation Projects
The Snohomish Basin Mitigation Bank by Habitat Bank was the first entrepreneurial banking project approved through Washington State’s Mitigation Banking Program in 2005. Based on that success, Habitat Bank began working on mitigation bank projects in Southwest Washington and in other areas of Washington State. In Southwest Washington, the Columbia River Mitigation Bank, East Fork Lewis Mitigation Bank and Battle Ground Mitigation Project will serve portions of Clark, Cowlitz and Skamania Counties. Habitat Bank is focused on bringing additional mitigation options to the market, as growth and demand for natural resource mitigation warrant these investments.
